Today

They moved my endo appointment up from April 2nd to today.... This afternoon is my appointment. I am ready I have my food logs, my exercise logs, my labs, my questions, and my med list. Time to face the music and see what he says. I have been doing well with my eating and staying within my ranges. I haven't been soo good with exercising but I'm slowly making myself do it, I still have furniture to rearranging to do this weekend. Also I am getting a new machine, not sure which one yet but I can promise it will not be a treadmill :-P We'll see what this guy says today and hope that things go well!

ELLIPTICAL. ELLIPTICAL. ELLIPTICAL. I cannot say it enough. You get the most bang for your buck, you get the best workout possible in the shortest amount of time, AND ITS NO IMPACT. Need I say more?

I have a FREE state of the art gym in my building. I use it occasionally, but have to get up even before the butt-crack of dawn and add to my already 14 hour day in order to add in a 45 minute work out. . . so its tough. But I switched from a treadmill to an elliptical and couldnt be happier. After months of walking 1-2 miles every day on the treadmill (and wearing braces on my knees)- literally couldnt last 2 minutes on the elliptical. . . but FELT better afterwards (and dont need to baby or brace my knees). Have worked up to 15-20 minutes each day and am loving every minute. Even has helped my back pain!

Mine should be delivered this weekend. I bought an inexpensive one to start with, called an ORBITREK. (I'll add another comment and put in a link.) Saw it on an infomercial a couple weeks ago. The checked the website. Decided I'd try to work out at home so I wouldnt have to leave the house any earlier, plus be able to use it on weekends. The Orbitrek has great user reviews, not just on its own website, but on Amazon, Ebay and other places where it can be found. For the money, its a great one to start out. I've been looking for an inexpensive one - worrying that it would eventually become the proverbial clothes hamper. . . so I didnt want to spend $800. The only disappointing thing I heard about this one was that after constant use for months, the person had worked beyond the resistance level . . . that's pretty awesome. At that point, I guess you could be assured you would use the machine and would feel comfortable bying a more expensive one at that point. The rest of the inexpensive ones, well, looked like they would fall apart pretty quickly.

I should have mine pretty soon. Maybe even by the weekend or soon thereafter. I'll let you know how i like it!

I hope all goes well at your appointment. Keep us posted. :)

Here's the website.... http://www.thane.com/products/fitness/orbitrekplatinum/orbitrek.php
check it out, you'll like it! And no, no one is paying me to say that, and its liable to be retracted if I get mine and it sucks. . . . ;o)

Oh, and to fix the typo's in my post above: I worked up to 15-20 minutes on the elliptical. . . ."then" checked the website. . . . the person had worked past the "maximum" resistance level. . . . and "buying". .. .

Okay. I feel better now :-)
